About World Report Now

World Report Now turns the World Bank’s development indicators into country profiles, rankings and side-by-side comparisons.

We track 217 economies across 140 indicators — population, output, prices, trade, jobs, health, education, connectivity and the environment — over 32 years (1994–2025), with a profile of every country for each of ten topics.

Every figure comes from the World Development Indicators published by the World Bank. We do not model or adjust numbers; we choose the latest available year for each country and say which year it is.

Rankings count only countries that report a value within the indicator’s recent window, so a missing country means missing data, not a low score.

Country names follow common British English usage. Borders, names and groupings do not imply any judgement on the legal status of a territory.
